Well, what can I
say, I had a great time!
The guys were in very good
form, they really rocked! I saw the drum riser move
dangerously back and forth a few times under Russell's
heavy hitting, but fortunately nothing came down. A
screw came loose though somewhere in his drum kit, it
took a minute or so to fix, during which Bernie
entertained the crowd. I think the new set was really
great, with all 11 WTS songs! This was very nicely
complemented by the new WTS backdrop, drum skins and new
intro. Of course the 7 classics that were played also
were received very well, but I think most people
responded well to the new stuff too.
Personally I thought it was
great hearing all the new songs live, I had been really
looking forward to it, and didn't get disappointed.
After the show the band took time for autographs, pics
and chats, lots of people stood in line for that. The
merchandise stand had some new items, I picked up a tour
programme, which has great pictures and art work. I
spend some time backstage, and talked a little to
Charlotte, Christos, Phil, Russell, Mick and Bernie. As
some of you may have noticed from pics of recent shows,
Bernie has some new stage outfits. I had a little chat
with him about that after yesterday's show. He has been
wearing colourful stuff for years, he does like that
himself, but has made some change in style now. His wife
Radka has made some cool new outfits, and I think they
suit him well.
