"Following on from the hugely successful
Acoustically Driven shows the Magician's Birthday will be a unique event with lots of surprises, special guests and a show stopping finale that will have Heep fans talking for years to come. Obviously we can' tell you what it is, but you are unlikely to guess it either !"
Well...
The
Magician's Birthday Party!!!
Get ready for the
ultimate Heep party -
Hensley guests for one night only!
"Due to circumstances at the
time, I never had the chance to say farewell from the stage. This is a
great opportunity to thank the fans in a very positive way" - KEN
HENSLEY
When Ken Hensley left Uriah Heep camp over 20 years
ago, after a gig in
Portugal, it seemed that a page had turned forever. So abrupt was his
final
decision, there was no opportunity for Ken to say a musical thankyou to the
Heep faithful. So when Mick Box invited Ken to join Heep on stage as
special guest for The Magician's Birthday Party 2001, Ken felt that the
time was ripe to say a belated salute to the fans. As a result, on December
7th
2001, there will be a one-night re-union between Ken and the band he helped
to bring to glory.
The stage is now set for that one historic night. After that single
concert, Ken returns to pick up his successful solo career. There
will be only one chance to see the gig Heep fans have talked about for so
long, so make sure you don't miss it.
As you would imagine, The Magician's Birthday Party 2001 on Friday December
7th is the biggie, it's the focus for a whole weekend of Heep related
events, but it's only part of the fun.
