This was illegal merchandise sold in the streets after the Uriah Heep gigs in Amsterdam in 1975 and 1976. Also available is a very special outdoors photo of the classic line up: http://www.rentrock.nl/fotoboek/Uriah%20Heep%20Posters%20-%20Thanks%20to%20Harry%20Otten%20en%20Hilco%20Arendshorst/album/index.html .

- Once again some great additions to the tour books page: the 1980 Scandinavian tour itinerary, thanks to Hilco Arendshorst of http://www.classicrockphotos.nl , and the 1980 Germany tour book. - Heepvention 2008 Update!
Everybody who has booked their flights to attend HV08, please mail your arrival airport, times and flight number to JLB-1@tiscali.co.uk . Subject: ARRIVAL HV08. Please also state how many of you are in your party. We have now started to compile a list of people who arrive at Malaga and Granada airports, their arrival times and the hotel they are staying at. The list will be forwarded to all HV08 ticket holders and should make it easier for car sharers, needing a lift from the airport to their hotels or sightseeing etc...
This might help communication between all Heepsters attending HV. For people who wish to hire a car, some useful links for car hire :
Some of these companies are one and the same, but have different looking websites and prices. Check them all to compare prices!

Regarding the Heepster Jam Band: Not everybody, who signed up to join the Heepster band, has booked their HV tickets yet,
which in turn makes it extremely difficult for Dave White and Muzzy to arrange the line-up and songlist. This is also unfair on those who have bought their tickets months ago, patiently waiting to be allocated "their" songs. Dave & Muzzy have started with the line-up arrangements, and have excluded those who have not booked their tickets till now! Don't miss out on a wonderful opportunity - book now, and get in touch to see if it's still possible to be part of the jam (if you intend to play or sing, of course).

Any suggestions??? This event is especially designed for you!! and we very much encourage your ideas and suggestions. If you have bought your tickets and might have something in particular you want to suggest for HV08, please mail jlb-1@tiscali.co.uk ; Subject: HV Suggestions. All "reasonable" ideas will be considered!! Feel free to bring rare videos, CDs, memorabilia etc. along to present!
We will also run an auction, where you can offer those items to your fellow Heepsters.

HV08 has attracted a lot of attention among the locals in Granada and surrounding areas and we are inundated with requests for tickets for the main event, Hensley/Lawton/Kerslake/Newton show, on the eve of 19. September. The venue does hold a large number of people, but due to fire regulations has a cut off limit. Of course "Heepsters" will have priority to our tickets!! An event like this HV will not happen again for a long long time, if indeed ever again, so please book your tickets now to avoid disappointment: http://www.heepvention2008.com .

- Mike Carparelli, designer and builder of the Mick Box Signature Model line of guitars will be featured in an interview in the next 2 weeks - stay tuned to http://www.mick-box.net .

- The German band Masters Project now features Lee Kerslake on drums: http://www.mastersproject.de/ . On the following link you find a videoclip of a gig that happened last December in Germany: http://www.mastersproject.de/28122007-1.html (fragments of Easy
Livin', Stealin', Rainbow Demon, Look At Yourself, Ozzy's Crazy Train, Purple's Perfect Strangers and more, and Lee playing drums and singing!). Apparently something will be out soon, album-wise, with our Lee piloting the drum seat!

- The "That Was Only Yesterday - The Last David Byron EP" Review page is now up. There's a link on the order page for it but here is a direct link to the page: http://www.travellersintime.com/TWOYReviews.htm . For ordering: http://www.travellersintime.com/byronorderpage.html .

- The John Lawton portrait unveiled in Bulgaria: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0EBrdC8GKY (make sure you click: watch in high quality). The town of Kavarna, Bulgaria, whose Mayor is Tsonko Tsonev, had John's portrait painted on to a building, in recognition to rock personalities who frequently perform at and support the Rock Capital of the Balkans. Some of the other buildings feature paintings of Glenn Hughes, Billy Idol and Joey DeMaio (Manowar).

- John Lawton meets 2 of the freed Bulgarian medics, held captive in Lybia for 8 years: http://perso.wanadoo.es/m00a4koo/medics.htm .

- Ken Hensley has posted some cool tour diaries to his website: http://www.ken-hensley.com . More live dates are being announced now, and the brand new live DVD/BluRay is out! Work has also started on the new studio CD, tentatively entitled "Love... And Other Mysteries". All details on the News page of http://www.ken-hensley.com .

- Keef Hartley Band CDs featuring Gary Thain on bass are available again: http://www.cherryred.co.uk/esoteric/artists/keefhartleyband.htm . Talking about Gary, "The 27s" book will be released any time soon. The publishers are still working on setting a definitive release date for their indie book, but in the meantime they have just released a trailer on YouTube and other places across the Internet including The27s.com, Myspace & Facebook: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-K0K3PV2Tg . For more details or to subscribe to their newsletter: http://www.the27s.com .

- Some trivia about David Byron... http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=17434843 .

- New songs from Heepsters are at http://www.heepstermusic.com - just click on the MP3 files links. If you would like to send yours in - mail to websongs@heepstermusic.com .
