before the November 9th gig in Geleen. More news soon!
- Now confirmed: Sanctuary Records will release Uriah Heep's "Easy Livin':
The Singles A's & B's" double anthology CD on 30/10/2006.
- Back in 1993 the then very famous Norwegian band AHA used to play live a
segment of "Easy Livin'". You can watch it here (after 35 seconds):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geZkPbyuze4&NR . Thanks to Evert
Achterberg for the tip.
- Of course we want Uriah Heep back in Arrow Rock Festival in 2007. So,
please go to

Heep! Arrow Rock Radio compiles several polls. Uriah Heep have been going
well over the years, let's go for it again. Check this page out and vote:
- On the Brazilian prestigious website "Rock Press" a huge article with
several curiosities about Uriah Heep's whole career was recently published
(in Portuguese only):
. And on the "Poeira Zine" magazine (
http://www.poeirazine.com ), an article about the "Demons And Wizards"
cover was published.
- Besides that, lots of articles were published before and during Uriah
Heep's visit to South America! Here's some links:

- On the YouTube site (
http://www.youtube.com ) several video excerpts from the recent
Brazilian gigs can now be found. Just look for "Uriah Heep Brasilia" and
"Uriah Heep São Paulo" there! Even a jam at the VIPs cocktail party that
followed the press conference in São Paulo is available:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ub5uFdiI1n4 (worth checking: the
instruments, borrowed from the local band; and roadie Dave Owen's fancy
hat!). By the way, at the press conference (that lasted for over 1.5 hour!),
Mick Box stated that the new studio album will be partly recorded now and
partly in the beginning of 2007, and then released next year!
- "Easy Livin'" gets a lot of airplay in Finland at the moment. It is a
theme song for the new movie called "Riisuttu mies" ("Naked Man" or "Stripped
Down Man" in English). The film is the most talked about in Finland in
2006 and it looks like it's going to be one of the best selling also. It
premiered two weeks ago and it's at number 3 in ticket sales at the moment,
actually the most popular film with real actors because it's behind two
animated films: "Cars" and "Over The Hedge" that hold positions 1 & 2. You
can watch the trailer at the web site, just go to
and click on "Traileri". There's also a different and longer TV commercial
where the song is sung by two Finnish top actors who also star in the
movie: Samuli Edelmann (male voice) and Laura Malmivaara (female voice):
. Thanks to Tapio Minkkinen for the info.
MORE HEEP... AND RELATED!
- The On The Rocks band have decided to postpone the recordings of the
live DVD because the new songs are not yet fully developed.
John Lawton (speaking on behalf of the band) said, " We really don't want
to release or record anything that is not up to the standard which is
expected of us and which we expect from ourselves". Due to technical
difficulties all European tour dates will be rescheduled for Spring 2007.
