- Meanwhile... just before the MBP 2004 weekend, the UK Tour has started
and the first concerts already happened! Some reports from the shows are
already available at Heep.com:
- More ticket stubs added to our gallery: from a show at a festival in '77
in Lorelei and from a free concert that happened on August 4th this year
in Neumarkt, both in Germany. Thanks to Alois Braun for them. Check
these out and many more here:
MORE HEEP... AND RELATED!
- Another piece of trivia: last weekend we mentioned the Swedish band
Black Bonzo, clearly influenced by the 70s Heepish sound. Another band,
this time the Italian "Wicked Minds", on their new CD, "From The Purple
Sky", not only perform a Heep cover ("Gypsy") but also songs presenting
reportedly a mix of the "old" Heep style and heavy progressive music. The
singer, J.C., has a style that combines David Byron's with Ashley Holt's
(of Warhorse/Rick Wakeman fame). Check it out:
(thanks to Hubert Allusson for the tip).
