They say it's a place generally for the "Younger Set", and Uriah Heep Fans are in all age groups and there in force.

Before we put up the site at www.myspace.com/uriahheepband there had been another launched by a 22 year old singer/songwriter/guitarist from Burbank Illinois in the USA.

Hi Chris ! Tell us a bit about yourself
 

Chris Court First to start off my name is Chris Court. I live in Burbank, IL. USA. I'm 22 years of age. My interests are playing guitar, writing songs, writing lyrics, which pretty much fall under one category but these are my major interests. I also have a band called Basement, I am the singer and guitarist, we play mainly alternative/rock, we are looking for a bassist and drummer right now though. How long as your Uriah Heep Site in Myspace been up there?

It has been up for almost a year now. I think I started it in December.

What prompted you to do it ?

Chris Court
Well, the music myspace sites were getting big, I decided
to put my band on myspace and promote. So I did, I also was looking
through all the music pages and found there was no Uriah Heep, So I knew I had to  start right away on making a myspace music page for them, get their name out  in the myspace world so the younger generation could also hear what Uriah Heep is about.

How was the response?

The response I got when I first started the site was a
mass amount of people requesting me as friends...It's unbelievable the
amount of requests you get in one day.

Did it take a long time to start attracting visitors? Did you
contact people or did they simply find you?

Chris Court
It didn't take long at all, I had the site up for maybe 5
minutes and I already had like 10 requests. People always contacted me,
I just made the site put it up on my actual top 8 and people were just
searching for Uriah Heep and found it.

When I put up the uriahheepband site, I was aware of yours and I am
sure that people are continuing to visit both - how often do you update ?

Chris Court
Well when I update I update the friend requests and accept
comments and what not, I don't really update the songs. Although I
should start taking requests cause I get alot of people telling me to put this
and that song on so they can have it on their page. So that'll be
something new I can do or even put tour dates on there.

Have you made any friends on the net because of your site?

Uh, not really people don't like me, they like Uriah Heep. *lol*

about?

Have you ever seen the band ? If so, can you say when and where?

I've never seen the band live, no. I want to though if
they a played a show somewhere in the Chicago, IL area...In USA, lol. I have
their magician's birthday dvd though, really good.

Are you planning on going to any of the upcoming gigs this year?

If they have one in USA and close to Chicago, IL. I'm a
college student I don't have money to fly to the UK.lol.

Do you feel like the band has a strong following?

Chris Court
I think Uriah Heep has a very strong following. It's all
in the mixture of the Deep Purple fans, like the goth children of today would
dig this. Uriah Heep has really cool fans, down to earth and behind their
band 100%.

What kids of plans do you have for your myspace Uriah Heep site?

My plans for the site is to update the songs, put their
tour dates in, maybe have some uriah heep trivia on there. I don't know,
I'll try to make this a fun Uriah Heep site where kids can enjoy too, so we can
get the younger generation to get into this band.

Is there anything you'd like to say to the thousands of people that
will be reading this?

I would like to say that music is a big part of everything.

Help out the local bands in your area that are trying to make it big,
that's all our dreams are. I want my band to succeed and record and go on tour
and have that feeling of accomplishment...So help out the local bands...Go
to our site and check us out, add us...Do this with other bands.
