- Last weekend we uploaded photos from the Uriah Heep gig at the Maisel Festival in Bayreuth, Germany before, during and after the concert itself, thanks to Tapio Minkkinen and Peter Weber.  Check the photos here: http://www.uriah-heep.com/newa/maisel2007.php .  Included is a pic of Mick "The Wizard" Box supposedly making a glass of Weizenbier fly!

- Time to vote for Heep!  It's very simple, and important... just go to the following URL (UK Music Week), type "Uriah Heep" and click on "Vote Now":
http://www.ukmusicweek.com/UKMusicWeekVote07/Rockvote.aspx .  Check the number of radio stations involved on the right side bar (it means we can get a good promotion for The Heep by getting the band a large number of votes!).  But please run as the voting ends tomorrow, May 18th!!!  Thanks to Mike "The Islander" Taylor.

- Check here Mick Box's own favourite songs, as listed by Planet Rock radio station:
http://www.planetrock.com/Article.asp?id=168254&spid=7424 .  Thanks to Graham "I'm tired of tyres" Hulme.

- An interview with Bernie Shaw was published on the German ?Rheinpfalz? newspaper.  Check it out here:

- From Melodicrock.com: "Koyaanisqatsy is a slick, professional, and bombastic instrumental progressive metal band that uses the unique approach of fusing their compositions with classical influences from the romantic period. Their music is a mesmerizing balance of lush, subtle passages and hard-hitting virtuosity that is both intelligent and emotional. Their name 'Koyaanisqatsy' come from the language of the Hopi-Indians and means 'Crazy Life', 'Out Of Balance'. Even the British cult rock band Uriah Heep used the song Overture 3030 as their opening song on their "Unplugged Tour 2006".  Koyaanisqatsy is finally available for download only at:
http://www.MusicBuyMail.eu .
The commercial download includes cover artwork, liner notes, full biography and the complete story book!".

- On the German "Breakout" magazine (
http://www.breakoutmagazin.de/ ) a recent interview with Ken Hensley and a review of "Blood On The Highway" were published, all very positive!  For an update on the new album release, and the very special CD launch concert in Hamburg, Germany on May 22nd (featuring Glenn Hughes, John Lawton, Jorn Lande, Eve Gallagher & Ken Hensley, plus full band and orchestra!), go to http://www.ken-hensley.com/ .  "Blood On The Highway" is already available for pre-ordering, links available on the News page of the site.

- Heepvention 2008 in Spain, the update!  Alan Keetley and John Lawton are trying to get enough feedback from those who plan on attending, to see if they're going on with the project.  So, if it's your case, please go to
http://www.heepvention2008.com .

- A list with the next John Lawton gigs can be found either at his official site (
http://www.johnlawtonband.com ) or his MySpace page ( http://www.myspace.com/johnlawtonmusic ).  Good news also is that the basic tracks (drums, bass and keyboards) for the upcoming On The Rocks ( http://www.otr-band.co.uk ) album featuring John on vocals and Jan Dumée (ex-Focus) on guitar have been recently recorded in Brazil.  The guitars are being recorded in Holland as we speak, and next will be the vocals!  The CD is due out in the second half of this year.
