- Erol Sora has just released his debut solo album titled "Demented Honour"
through Duration Records. Erol is best known for playing guitar with
ex-Uriah Heep/Lucifer?s Friend singer John Lawton, although he has also
worked with other great musicians including various members of Quiet Riot
and Survivor. Describing "Demented Honour" as ?in your face hard rock
with melody", it?s the first time Erol has had the opportunity to write
all the material and perform all vocal duties himself. "I love singing
and writing as much as playing guitar so this truly has been a labour of
love having the creative freedom to do a proper solo album. I wanted this
CD to be based around the songs first and foremost, yet also appeal to
fans of guitar oriented hard rock. I think fans of Deep Purple,
Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy and Kiss will really dig it!". "Demented Honour"
was recorded in Vancouver where Erol enlisted an array of top musicians,
including drummer Lance Chalmers (ex-Trooper), bassist Kevin Dahl, and
keyboardists Gregory MacDonald and Louise Porter (The Rumours). To hear
MP3 soundclips or order a copy of Demented Honour, check out:

- A bit of trivia: a little story by a German Heepster, Klaus Kewitz: "We
live since Easter in an old farmhouse and our four cats has found here
ideal living conditions. This was the reason that we have got three
another, eight weeks old kittens. Both small tomcats be
called "Hensley" and "Lawton", the small cat lady calls "Stella". In the
meantime one more little female kitten has come and we have given her the
name "Monica" - what else. I have chosen these names as a small mark of
my big enthusiasm for Uriah Heep, Ken Hensley and co. The cats are to be
seen on my homepage at
http://www.onkelklaus.de/privatfoto.htm
". Thanks to Renate Fischer of SOT.
